Background clinical reasoning is generally defined as the numerous modes of thinking that guide clinical practice but little is known about the factors affecting how occupational therapists manage the decision making process the aim of this qualitative study was to explore the factors influencing the clinical reasoning of occupational therapists. Background fieldwork education is a core part of all occupational therapy curriculums around the world to enable the students meet minimum competencies required for their professional life student experience is a valuable source to explore the nature of fieldwork training and plan more efficient . Research method this qualitative study exploring therapists experiences and perceptions of implementing opc including contextual factors influencing its use was part of a larger parallel mixed methods study 12 creswell jwdesigning and conducting mixed methods research. The interviews in the research group were conducted by five occupational therapists prior to occupational therapy intervention and the interviews of the control group were conducted by six graduate occupational therapy students in partial fulfilment of their masters degree.
